Congratulations goes out to my sweet daughter Giladriel on her accomplishment of Memory Master. Not just for this year, but for the past three years she has memorized over 400 pieces of information to attain the title of Memory Master. We are so proud of how she spent so much time commiting useful information to memory including all the academic subjects and our LORD’s Word.

In this world of over-abundant toxins infiltrating our bodies and minds should we be trying to cleanse our bodies and keep them healthy or should we just live life like everyone else and wait for our disease and certain paniful death to follow?

Just exploring the ideas of being healthy in this age. It seems that many of the great discoveries in health science have lead us back to the main ideas like making bread and walking on the ground with our bare feet and eating stuff off the plant. Are man-made chemicals powerful enough to right the mechanisms within the human body or did God actually create it to do it’s job correctly and we’ve just mussed that up? I think we made a mess.

So, how do we make healthy decisions within reason? Our main calling in life is to lead others to Christ. Can we scare others away just by being too concerned with our health? Ithink we can so where do we find the balance between being purposefully healthy and not overdoing it? Well, God, what do you say?

The Resting Giant

In our yard was a giant tree that stood tall with no leaves and very few branches. It fell in 2010 during a bad storm and it has rested here ever since. It looks like a giant’s hand to me every time I look out that way. Beautiful, Big, Artistic. Can you imagine the creature attached to such a large hand?
